Prostate Buddies run monthly events to help recently diagnosed men talk to people who have been there and share their experiences – open meetings are held in Dumfries Baptist Church Centre on the last Wednesday of each month.

We have the following events coming up:

Monthly Open Meetings:

Our monthly meetings in Dumfries are on the last Wednesday night of each month. In the Dumfries Baptist Church Centre, Gillbrae Rd, Dumfries. DG1 4EJ from 7pm – 9pm. These meetings will include our new “Prostate Partners Support Group” for members of the family/partners/wives of sufferers who meet in a separate room but at the same time as the buddies.

Anyone who thinks they would benefit from a chat with like – minded individuals about Prostate Disease or Prostate Cancer and the treatments that are available, please come along to one of our meetings – you will be made very welcome.

The Moffat Classic Car Rally 30th June (Holm Fields, Moffat) 10am – 4pm

Stranraer ‘Prostate Awareness’ Day Stranraer College Campus 10th July

Robert the Bruce event Dumfries High Street 13th July 10am – 4pm

Stranraer Show 31st July 10am – 4pm

Dumfries Show 3rd August 9.30am – 4.30pm

Drumlanrig Castle Country Fair 10th/11th August 10am – 4pm both days

Dumfries Aviation Museum ‘Wings & Wheels’ Show Heathhall Dumfries 29th September 10am – 4pm

Need A Buddy

Every member of the Buddies Group is qualified in a special way in that they have all had or have Prostate Cancer and have been through the subsequent treatments. We have introduced our Prostate Partners D&G group for mutual support between wives/partners and loved ones.
